Arthur Bousel's passionate commitment to attorneys seeking a change in professional direction stems from challenges he personally confronted in moving his career forward. When he sought out advice from experts with his interests at heart, Art came up empty.

Art did successfully make the change to which he aspired and his achievement was reported in Crain's Chicago Business and The Wall Street Journal. In response to the articles, attorneys began contacting him for career guidance. Art responded by inviting them to share their career ambitions with him, giving birth to Lawyer2Lawyer.

He has shown 1600+ partners, associates and in-house counsel how they can deliver greater value to their firms, businesses and new employers, while increasing their individual satisfaction.

Art began his legal career as a transactional attorney at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and Shearman & Sterling before beating the odds to launch a new business and develop strategic alliances with Fortune 500 executives. Since becoming a leader in the field of attorney career development, he served in three executive-level roles prior to Lawyer2Lawyer.

Art's insight on attorney career development and the delivery of client service have appeared in the Daily Law Bulletin, Legal Intelligencer, NALP Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer. Attorney professional organizations featuring Art as a speaker include the Association of Corporate Counsel, American Bar Association and National Association for Legal Career Professionals.

On a personal note, as an avid wilderness hiker and mountain climber who particularly enjoys the rugged and challenging terrain of the Rockies, Art is pleased to have served pro bono as regional counsel for one of the Nation's best known environmental organizations.
